A dedicated colleague, without building your own operation abroad.
You choose the consultant and manage their work. We recruit, employ and support them from our office in Nepal.
One model. Two roles.
Your consultant is employed by Himalaya in Nepal and works directly as part of your team. You have a single Swedish commercial relationship, one agreement and one invoice, while we take care of everything around the person: employment, workplace, HR and long-term development.
The client directs the work. Himalaya takes care of the consultant.

- 06Step 06
An ongoing partnership
We stay close with monthly check-ins, development plans and a named contact, and help you scale the team when you are ready.

Day to day, they simply work with you.
Your consultant works inside your workflow, not behind a supplier wall. Himalaya never becomes a communication bottleneck. Daily collaboration happens directly between the consultant and your team.
Our role is local: a professional office, an employer close by, regular employee conversations, wellbeing and development support, so the person doing the work is well taken care of.
Common questions
How well does the time zone work with Sweden?
Very well. Nepal is only 3 hours 45 minutes ahead of Sweden (2 hours 45 minutes in summer), so your consultant's working day overlaps most of yours. Standups, sprint planning and pair work happen live.
What about English and communication?
Every Himalaya consultant completed 100% of their university studies in English, so their professional English is at native working level. It is a core recruitment criterion, and you verify it yourself in the interviews before approving your consultant.
How fast can we get started?
Typically 4 to 6 weeks from the first conversation to your consultant's first working day, depending on the role and the candidate's notice period. You interview and approve before anything starts.
What if the consultant isn't the right fit?
We stay close through onboarding with regular follow-ups on both sides, so issues surface early. If it still is not working we address it together, including recruiting a replacement. The exact terms are set out in the agreement.
Who owns the work and the IP?
You do. Everything your consultant produces for you belongs to your company, secured through the Swedish agreement, the same way it would with a Swedish consultancy.
How do we end an engagement?
With notice per the agreement. The minimum engagement is 6 months, and after that a standard notice period applies. We handle everything on the employment side, and you have one Swedish counterparty throughout.
